This webinar will use the existing literature on person centeredness to help attendees appreciate the opportunities that this approach to care can offer medical rehabilitation. We will review interventions and best practices, and engage in didactic exchanges via the use of videos to engage the attendees to problem solve and think about person centeredness in new ways.

The author will provide a handout with resources that attendees can use to continue their education on this topic.

Webinar participants should be able to:

  1. Identify key factors that define person-centered care in medical rehabilitation.
  2. Identify ways to improve person-centered practice in your professional area.
  3. Learn about the existing evidence regarding person centeredness in medical rehabilitation.
  4. Reflect on the barriers and facilitators of person centeredness.
